What You Need To Know About Craniosacral Therapy MI

By Joseph Wallace

Generally, craniosacral therapy is simply a light touch therapeutic treatment that boosts the ability of your body to experience natural healing. In the last decades, this treatment has proved effective in treating different physiological conditions associated with the loss of systemic, emotional, and biomechanical function, and pain related issues. Because of this, craniosacral therapy MI has been used for primary treatment, as well as other complementary techniques.

Many people often think that this technique is specifically used for back pain, head and birth trauma, and headaches. Although it is often successful for such disorders, this therapy is usually effective in treating a variety of disorders. Therapists usually stimulate the body of a client to overcome restrictions that the body could not overcome by itself. Normally, they follow the response of the body to know how to respond.

Essentially, practitioners of this therapy believes that each person is born with an infinite form of intelligence or the vital force energy. It is this intelligence that helps to maintain the heartbeat, as well as running the body. This undetectable intelligence which is also constant is usually transported by the nervous system to all body cells supplying all the necessary information for each cell to function as planned each day.

The craniosacral therapists also refer to this form of intelligence as the innate intelligence. These therapists claim the intelligence remains with a person at all time, and is the one responsible for healing. Therefore, when each cell of the body is working at 100%, the health of a person is optimal. Unfortunately, misalignment of the spine and structural imbalances can interfere with how this intelligence is transmitted. Because of this, formation of the cell may be altered and imbalance arises, which may lead to many diseases and health problems.

Usually, the work of the therapist is to assist correct the structural imbalances in the body to allow this innate intelligence to flow where it is needed, restore blocked circulation, and relief nerve impingement. As a result, the therapist help the dysfunctional cell to naturally heal themselves. Usually, this treatment technique does not involve spinal adjustments and manipulations but involves using light-touch therapies to restore structural integrity which is a root cause of most spinal and structural imbalances.

On the other hand, craniosacral therapists in Michigan, apply numerous modalities in healing to bring back innate intelligence balance. The techniques are such as polarity therapy, positional release, muscle energy technique, myofascial release, and acupressure.

Nevertheless, some conditions are not recommended for the craniosacral treatment. These conditions are the ones that in case of slight increase or variation of the intracranial pressure would result in instability. Some of the examples of such conditions include acute aneurysm, cerebral hemorrhage, and any preexisting bleeding disorders. Such condition will be affected by a small change of the intracranial pressure.

Also, the sessions required for this treatment also vary from one individual to another. Also, the responses of this treatment varies with different people and different conditions. Therefore, each person has a unique response and hence the sessions required by each patient varies.
