One of the wonders of the world that is still standing tall today is none other than the great pyramid of Khufu. This great pyramid is found in the land of Giza and is known to be the biggest one that was ever made. It was also the only one that had the most complex interior design ever made. It was so complex that there are secret chambers of the great pyramid that still exist until today.
Wayman Dixon was actually the one who discovered these shafts in the chamber of the Queen and decided to check if there were still rooms behind the walls. They checked both the north and the south shafts for any artifacts that may have turned up. Their discovery was indeed amazing because both shafts yielded two different kinds of results.
Now they first found a metal hook in the southern shaft that was buried there in the dirt. Of course if they were able to find a relic in the southern shaft, they also went to see the northern shaft in which they were able to find two relics namely a granite ball and a cedar like piece of wood. These two artifacts were then brought back to their homeland in England wherein they were named after Dixon as the Dixon relics and were soon lost after they were returned to sir Dixon.
Of course this discovery lead to even further explorations since the beginning of the discovery of the air shafts. Eventually they did find that there were two tunnels that were found in the south and the north walls of this room. However, these tunnels were blocked off by stone blocks which was why they had to be drilled in order to be explored.
Now it was because of this blockade that a robot with the ability to drill was made to that they could proceed further. When they were able to drill the blocks off, they eventually found another room at the end but they noticed that the room was totally empty. Eventually, another group of archaeologists made another robot that this time, had a micro snake camera that could detect all the smallest details that could be found there in the empty room.
Of course the archaeologists used the camera to survey the room and made a few discoveries. One thing that they found was that there were actually some hieroglyphs that were found on the walls. There were even some stone carvings that could be found there on the stone blocks that were stuck at the corners of the room.
Of course the egyptologists believed that the hieroglyphs there had a special meaning and told a story as to why the secret rooms were built. Some scholars say that the symbols were about the sun. However, there were other egyptologists that claimed that they were more about the stars as they were astronomical in nature.
Until now, no one really knows why these chambers existed in the first place. Many believed that they existed for a symbolic purpose while others believed that they were there for religious purposes. Probably the only thing that could give some answers would be the red hieroglyphs that are written there.
